Be a Direct and/or Indirect Volunteers for our patients. Direct volunteers share stories, interests...run errands...reads to patient...plays music, watch a movie...is a friend. We have many beloved patients who are veterans! Indirect volunteers sew, crotchet or knit for our patients...does artwork...assists with fundraisers. "THE LAST GOOD THING THAT MAY HAPPEN IN A PERSON'S LIFE IS A HOSPICE VOLUNTEER!"

Be A Summit Hospice Volunteer! We are a We Honor Veteran Level Five Hospice with an incomparable volunteer department. After training to be a Summit Hospice Volunteer, you will be matched with your own patient. Be prepared to get more out of the experience than you believe your patient will. It happens all the time! Summit Hospice is very proud to have one of the best-rated volunteer departments in the valley. We are a top-ranking member of 'We Honor Veterans’, a nationwide program that was devised between the Veteran’s Administration and The National Palliative and Hospice Organization to support veterans and their families. Since we are the highest rank within We Honor Veterans, we have the honor of performing 'Pinning Ceremonies' for our patients that are veterans. We love helping to grant 'Dreams’ for our patients and, most importantly, we love helping them to live to their fullest until they are called Home. If helping them live to their fullest is simply caring presences, watching a movie together, looking at photo albums together, then that is what we happily do. So often, our patients just want to tell someone about their lives. It is listening to 'living history', their stories are fascinating. It's a blessing just to be with them. Come join us!
