Mission Statement
To promote dignity and independence as we care for invisible persons--those who are homebound and family caregivers of all ages.
Description
There are three programs housed under the auspices of VHFC: the American Association of Caregiving Youth which provides information, support and resources to pre-teens, teens, families and professionals while it spawns affiliate Caregiving Youth Projects; Boca Respite Volunteers which provides volunteer support services such as transportation, grocery shopping, friendly visiting and respite free of charge within the greater Boca Raton area; and, the Caregiving Youth Project (the first in the U.S.) which strives for success in education and the lives of youth caregivers of family members who are less independent with the effects of aging, an illness or disability.
