Mission Statement

CCINA seeks to provide immigrant families with the necessary tools to enable them to become fully integrated, educated and contributing community members, who are able to maintain economic independence and stability.

Description

The Center for the Community Integration of New Americans (CCINA) is a nonprofit, community-based organization that provides education and support services to under-served immigrant families (New Americans) in Davidson County and surrounding counties in Tennessee. CCINA currently runs a much needed homework help program to provide academic support to the children of immigrants living in Nashville. These parents face the challenge of not knowing English well enough to help their children with academics, which makes the program vital. The program serves children from grades 1 - 8. We provide volunteer opportunites in the areas of Homework Help, translation (oral and written), website development and social media.
