Special Event Volunteers are on-call for Science After Dark, Minds of All Kinds, Science On Tap, lectures, exhibition openings and a variety of other special events. They help facilitate educational activities as well as greet and direct Museum guests. Special Event Volunteers should feel comfortable interacting with people of all ages and be outgoing, flexible and patient. This is an ideal volunteer position if you cannot commit to a regular schedule; volunteers sign up for events for which they are available and interested. Emails will be sent out regularly with opportunities to volunteer. View our upcoming events page to see some examples. https://smv.org/explore/things-to-do/?things_to_do_type=eventpage
