PowerUP is a major national initiative lauched by more than a dozen nonprofit organizations, corporations and government to help underserved youth gain the skills, experiences and resources required to succeed in the digital age.

Description

PowerUP was founded in 1999 by the Stephen Case Foundation as a commitment to America's Promise, General Colin Powell's movement for youth. Each local PowerUP site revolves around an integrated, synergistic program involving a partnership with a youth serving organization, people power through AmericorpsVISTA* and innovative online programming linking children to youth develoment activities online.
