Mission Statement
The mission of the Woodstock Area Job Bank is to serve the town of Woodstock and its surrounding communities by providing a means of connecting individuals who are seeking employment with individuals and businesses that are in need of workers.
Description
In May of 1974, during a period of recession, the Woodstock Area Job Bank was born to help people find work. It was organized as a nonprofit organization for the purpose of filling the community’s employment needs by serving as a clearing house on occupational information. The Job Bank continues its mission as begun in 1974. Our Director, Elizabeth Craib, seeks to find work for those in need of employment and those in need of workers. Jobs of all types are welcome: part-time, full-time, short-term and seasonal. There is no job to large...or too small. Our service is FREE. We are funded by the towns of Woodstock, Barnard, Pomfret, Bridgewater, Reading, Hartland and from generous donations from the community. We welcome inquiries from the entire surrounding area.
