EIMA supports ALL of the students groups with the Enfield Instrumental Music Program including the Color Guard, Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble and Combs, Marching Band and String Orchestra.
The Association is organized exclusively for educational and charitable purposes under section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future federal code to:
- Provide administrative, financial and logistical support for the Enfield High School Instrumental Music Department
- Promote and foster communication of the activities and interests of the Enfield High School Instrumental Music Department
- Support and encourage music education within Enfield High School and the community in which it resides
- Encourage financial support of the Enfield High School Instrumental Department through contributions to the Association
The Association shall be non-commercial, non-sectarian and non-partisan. As a result, fundraising in support of the instrumental music program is a very important element of EIMA. The funds received are used directly and indirectly to benefit the students. We encourage each member of EIMA - both parents and students - to actively participate in the fundraising process. The fund received are used directly and indirectly to benefit the students in the following manner: reduce the bi-annual trip cost, scholarships for seniors and underclassmen, drill staff, uniforms, purchase of music, drill writing, percussion instructor, guest artists, new school instruments, maintenance of the older school instruments, equipment, supplies transportation, support staff and support of town string festival.
