Mission Statement

The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation’s largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness. For over a century, the BSA has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. Description


The Cheif Tarhe District is comprised of 32 individual scout units between 24 different schools across Fairfield and Hocking Counties. Each unit is volunteer lead and supported, in addition to the District Committee. We are looking to expand the scouting program in the area and can only do that through the help of more volunteers. We have many positions availible depending on your level of interest/time committment. Some positions can simply be done over the phone/internet while some others might require a monthly meeting and some networking within the community.
