The Pueblo Zoo seeks to make an impact on present and futuregenerations by exhibiting and interpreting varied aspects of the living world in an enjoyable setting, by participating in the conservation of animal species, and by encouraging related research.

Description

Found in Pueblo, Colorado, thePueblo Zoo covers 25 acres, is located in Pueblo City Park and was establishedin the 1920's. It is easily accessible for all visitors including those usingstrollers & wheelchairs. The zoo exhibits more than 300 animals of 110different species from throughout the world. Under the Zoological Society'sdirection, the zoo is being developed as a "biopark," a place whereanimals are exhibited in natural settings, where the interdependence of Earth'slife - plants and animals, including humans - is made clear for all to see.
