The mission of the Lesbian Cancer Project Is to provide cancer awareness And detection programs to the Lesbian and bisexual community in the greater Kansas City area. The Lesbian Cancer Project is a not-for profit organization under the umbrella of ministries of Spirit of Hope Metropolitan Community Church . Your gifts are tax deductable

Description

For many years we have provided FREE mammograms for as many as twenty-five women every October at St.Lukes Center for Breast Care on the Country Club Plaza. Susan G. Komen for the Cure has continued to provide funding for this year after year. We are so grateful to them in helping us meet our goals. This year we acquired an additional grant from Komen for two new ventures, including mammacare classes and a support services program for survivors of breast cancer.
