Mission Statement

Downtown Vision, Inc. (DVI) is the Downtown Improvement District (DID) for Downtown Jacksonville. DVI is a not-for-profit 501(c)6 organization whose mission is to build and maintain a healthy and vibrant Downtown community and to promote Downtown as an exciting place to live, work, play, and visit.

Downtown Vision, Inc. was formed in 2000 at the request of Downtown property owners to provide enhanced services within the Downtown Improvement District.

DVI is dedicated to promoting the Downtown area, building a Downtown neighborhood, serving as a one-stop shop for information on Downtown, and advocating the interests of Downtown property owners and stakeholders.

Description

The Downtown Jacksonville Improvement District is a 90-block neighborhood in which property owners tax themselves to make their community cleaner, safer and more vibrant. The tax is used by the Downtown Vision, Inc. to provide services that supplement those provided by the city.

The Downtown Jacksonville Improvement District contains approximately 500 properties and is bounded by Prudential Drive to the south, Broad Street to the west, Church Street to the north, and Market Street to the east.

The boundaries of Downtown as defined by the City of Jacksonville are I-95 to the south and west, State Street to the north, and the St. Johns River to the east
