Mission Statement

"The mission of the Alameda County Fair Association is to assure the long term viability of the Alameda County Fairgrounds, present an exceptional Annual Fair which celebrates the heritage and diversity of Alameda County, and provide year round opportunities for facility usage,"

Description

The Alameda County Fair is the largest county fair in Northern California and the largest public event in Alameda County attracting close to 400,000 attendees each year. The fairgrounds encompasses 267 park-like acres. The Alameda County Fair is a non-profit 501c3 and receives no goverment subsities to host the annual Fair on behalf of the County of Alameda.

In 2008, the Fair received 36 Western Fair Awards and won the coveted Louis B. Merrill Award by sponsoring a charitable community event to support homeless Veterans of Ameriica.
