Description

Chatham Morgan founded American Lunch while he was a student at the University of Alabama. During the course Leadership Development through community service, taught by Ellen Potts, Morgan saw the need for a food-based charity that could be mobile in nature. On the theory that many needy people have a problem with transportation, the idea of a non-profit food truck was developed.

"By eliminating the hassle of transportation, we figured we would be able to maximize our outreach potential." Morgan said.

Unlike traditional soup kitchen, the American Lunch truck is not only intended for those in need, but for anyone who can come. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the soup of the day!
