Mission Statement

To improve the lives of all shelter animals by providing transport services to rescue, foster or forever homes; continuing to promote pet adoption and spay/neuter programs; to provide rescue and shelter support services through our Pit Stop Taxi or Shelter Makeover Programs.

Description

Pit Stop Pit Bull Rescue Transport was started in February of 2014 with one primary goal - Help Save Lives. After working as a volunteer for 5 years for other shelter and rescue groups we found it was time to venture out on our own to help fill some of the gaps we had seen.

Since the recession in late 2006 shelters and rescues continue to struggle to make ends meet often having to make some very tough decisions. Our goal is to provide support services to the shelters and rescues of North Florida and South Georgia.

These services not only include transport services from kill shelters to rescues located throughout the East Coast of the U.S, but also medical, boarding, and training sponsorships.

In addition, we provide community service support to shelters to allow them to some of the nice to haves they are unable to attain due to limited funding. Our goal is to complete at least one community service project per year.

We look forward to an even more successful 2016!
