Mission Statement

The mission of the Southern Girls Rock & Roll Camp is to support a culture of positive self-esteem and collaboration among girls while building community through music. SGRRC recognizes the potential of
every young woman to be a strong, talented, creative and empowered individual while providing a safe space where all girls rock.

Description

SGRRC is a day camp for girls ages 10-17 that empowers young women and promotes positive self-esteem through music. The camp offers instrument instruction in Guitar, Drums, Bass, Keyboard, and Vocals. In addition, campers get to explore workshops in Songwriting, Recording, Screenprinting,Music Herstory, DIY Arts & Crafts and Zine Making.

Exclusive performances by women in the music industry offer campers an opportunity to experience a diverse range of musical styles followed by a Q&A session with performers. The most exciting part of camp week is the opportunity for campers to form their own band and collaborate on a song to perform at a showcase at the end of the week.
