Description
Bless Children Home
Among the various projects we are undertaking right now in education, health, or community empowerment, one of the most significant is the Bless Children’s Home and the Linsi Foundation. Currently, 60 children from unprivileged communities in Tamil Nadu live in the Bless Children Home. While living at the Home, they attend a local school and are helped with their studies by Home staff, Indian and international volunteers. They receive three meals a day with locally-produced food, with an increasing portion of this food coming from gardens and animals at the Home itself. Children also participate in organized activities such as dance classes, yoga classes and excursion tours. The Home is designed to help children complete their education, learn practical skills of farming and gardening, develop their personalities, and contribute to their own communities.
BLESS is planning to expand the Children’s Home to serve 75 children from villages near and far.
