Mission Statement

Meals on Wheels is the name given to a program which delivers nutritious meals to the aged, convalescent and handicapped who are unable to prepare adequate meals for themselves.

Factors determining eligibility for Meals on Wheels service are age, economic need and disability. The length of time the service is given depends on the client.

Description

All of the persons who prepare the meals and deliver the meals are volunteers. They give freely of their time and their automobilies to bring this meals to our clients.

There are appooximately 65 meals prepared daily by 4 to 5 women. There are four different routes with two volunteers per route. We deliver in the Borough of Indiana and White Township.
