Our mission is to help eliminate illiteracy in our community and to enhance our children's abilities to obtain the academic, social and life skills needed for their future success.
The Learning and Tutoring Center of East Austin is a non-profit 501c3 organization which recently opened for the purpose of providing tutorial services to help children in academic subjects such as reading and mathematics.
I would like to volunteer for this organization because I think what the organization offers is an excellent. I'm pretty good at math and would like offer my time to help those who don't fairly understand it. I'm also looking into majoring in a degree in arts for teaching. I believe this organization will provide me a feel to how my future will be if I do pursuit with that major.

Number one - it's FREE! You can't beat that in a world like today. Secondly - it's full of heart. The people who opened this non-profit in February genuinely want to see ALL children succeed. It's apparent in their demeanor and devotion. Bring your kids one Saturday and try it out yourself - Parents encouraged! There are games, lessons, activities, and fun for all ages. If you're one of those parents who can't stand homework - send it with your kids and LTCEA will not only see that it gets completed - but more importantly it gets understood! A GREAT opportunity for anyone and everyone!
