Mission Statement

Begin Again Horse Rescue is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the wellbeing of all horses. Its goal is to make a difference one horse at a time through rehabilitation of abused or neglected horses. We will do this through the charitable works of our members, sponsors, and use of foster/adoptive homes. Surrendered horses will be accepted without judgment. The farm seeks to better the lives of horses through providing rescue care and safe haven, as well as the promotion and education of responsible horse ownership and neuter programs.

Description

Begin Again is run entirely on volunteers and donations. Every dollar that is donated goes directly to the care of needy, abused, or neglected horses. We provide medical care, hay and grain, rehab programs, and love to our residents. Our volunteers are the foundation of our organization, and without them, we could not succeed. Since 1999, we have placed over 170 horses in new, loving homes. We carefully screen potential adopters and continue to care for each horse by following up at least yearly with farm visits. We have one full-time employee, our Farm Manager, who looks after the horses and the farm to make sure that each animal receives the attention it needs.
