Mission Statement

WOE, MissionIs to provide temporary housing and support services for men and women who have been formerly incarcerated recovering, from alcohol, abuse relationship and, homeless with their children. Woe will provide the tools necessary to address the issues that led to their incarceration and other self-destructive behavior. Empowering the men and women with the word of God and setting goals for their lives by going back to school maintaining employment understanding self destructive behavior and becoming a productive member of society. Description

Company Description Laverna Moorer founded W.O.E., INC. in March 2004, after identifying a need for formerly incarcerated women. In March (2004) Laverna decided to bring this vision to fruition by forming a Board of Directors, acquiring a space (building) and employing volunteers to assist in the program development. The program will be a transitional housing program that will provide substance abuse treatment services, childcare services (long range), budget and financial management, life skills, vocational and educational services, individual as well as group counseling services, spiritual uplifting and appropriate referrals when needed. The organization was originally located in Hampton, Ga. however, will move to Griffin, Ga. once the building is newly renovated. The organization was formed as a non-profit 501c(3) corporation. The organization is currently in the start-up phase and expects to move rapidly towards further growth.
