Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
Our mission is to provide fresh produce through urban gardens and farmer's markets to promote healthy lifestyles and enrich cultural traditions in neighborhoods suffering from indifference and neglect. Additionally, we provide the tools to gain knowledge of and engage in proper nutrition--one that is packed with powerhouse fruits and vegetables! Through our community gardens, farmer's markets, and nutrition education classes, we hope to assist others in making healthy food choices!
HopeBUILD St. Louis is helping to bring green spaces and fresh produce to neighborhoods better known for police presence and package liquor stores. Community gardens in both North City and South City grow vegetables and fruit for the volunteer gardeners, the neighborhood residents, and the customers at HopeBUILD's farmer's markets in underserved areas. In addition to creating productive green spaces in low-income neighborhoods, these gardens are bringing neighbors together. Painters, lab technicians, college students, mothers, retired folks, teachers, church leaders, maintenance workers, and most importantly, children have all enjoyed digging in the dirt as members of the same community, one that cares about the future.
