HealthyWomen (HW) is the nation's leading independent health information source for women. For more than 20 years, women have been coming to the HW for answers to their most pressing and personal health care questions. Through its wide array of online and print publications, HW provides health information that is original, objective, reviewed by medical experts and reflective of the advances in evidence-based health research.
HealthyWomen has a long history of providing unbiased and accurate health information and has earned the trust of consumers and health care providers as well as nonprofit and corporate partners and the media. HW is widely referenced in print, broadcast and online venues and its Web site, www.HealthyWomen.org, was named the top women's health Web site by Good Housekeeping magazine. In addition, HealthyWomen has a strong network of women's centers, clinics, health care systems and other health-delivery partners across the country through which it distributes its print materials.
How We Succeed in Helping Women
HealthyWomen's award-winning Web site, www.HealthyWomen.org, was one of the first sites dedicated solely to women's health and is recognized nationally as a go-to source for trustworthy health information for women. This dynamic, comprehensive resource gives women the latest health information, including news updates, health tips, resources and extensive coverage of hundreds of health topics.
In addition to our online content, HealthyWomen produces print publications in English and Spanish. The Women's Health Updates, Fast Facts for Your Health and specialty brochures offer insights, tips and guidance on topics ranging from cervical cancer to skin health to flu. In addition, HW provides subscribers with a monthly, lifestyle-focused e-newsletter and updates on new health programs and resources. The National Women's Health Report provides an additional online, interactive resource for women that takes an in-depth look at timely and pressing women's health issues each year.
HealthyWomenregularly surveys women to learn about their attitudes and behaviors through quick online polls and our annual Women TALK study. Findings from this research guide development of HealthyWomen content and publications. As part of its public health education campaigns, HW also routinely conducts national research studies to understand women's knowledge and beliefs about particular health topics.
HealthyWomen excels in conducting nationally recognized public health education campaigns. In partnership with other nonprofit organizations, media, government agencies and corporations, these campaigns raise awareness of a variety of women's health conditions.
