Mission Statement
Convenes the Financial Empowerment Network comprised of local city departments and key stakeholders to analyze existing financial empowerment services and programs, identify gaps and establish and coordinate economic mobility initiatives.
Description
Through Financial Empowerment Centers, the office provides free one-on-one financial coaching to help residents reduce debt, develop savings, and establish and improve credit. The OFE’s Bank On Denver program helps financially underserved individuals gain access to safe, affordable and convenient financial products and services. The OFE’s Financial Training Center program is a joint effort with Community College of Denver, Metro State University and Denver University’s, School of Social Work to provide professionalized and accredited training for financial coaches.
