Our mission is to promote Delaware Valley history during the period of 1638-1776 focusing on Swedish, Finnish and Lenape culture. As a museum without walls, NSC has exhibits throughout the Delaware Valley. Our main exhibit is at Junior Achievement Finance Park, 522 Walnut Street, Wilmington, DE 19801.
The New Sweden Centre serves as an interpretive museum without walls exhibiting artifacts in various Delaware Valley locations. NSC develops and presents educational programs, supports public events with our period reenactor group and provides customized tours upon request. Our unique Settler Trunk program is available for schools to educate children on the early history of the colonial Swedes.
