APPPAH educates professionals and the public, worldwide, that a baby’s experience of conception, pregnancy, and birth creates lifelong consequences for individuals, families, and society. As a result of scientific discoveries and continually emerging evidence, we know babies are conscious and sentient beings.

Description

The Association of Prenatal and Perinatal Psychology and Health (APPPAH) adheres to the following core values to guide the APPPAH’s actions and decisions in pursing its vision and mission, and to carry out the Strategic Plan.

  • Integrity and competence in its service to members, consumers, and other associations.

  • Progressive leadership in providing vision for advancement of APPPAH.

  • Increasing professional development opportunities to provide quality education and resources to advance the knowledge, skills, and continued competence of understanding the Conscious Baby.
  • Utilize scientific information, inspiration, and support to medical professionals, prospective and expecting parents, and all persons interested in expanding their horizons of birth psychology
