Mission Statement

The mission of McNeilly Center for Children is to provide affordable, quality child care to children ages 6 weeks to 12 years of age whose parents are working, in job training, or in school, and further, to support the families through parent education and social services.

Description

McNeilly Center for Children provides stimulating, age appropriate environments in which children can reach their full potential in all areas of development. We are licensed with the highest 3-Star rating, and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. At McNeilly Center for Children, we believe that every child deserves quality child care: therefore, we make our programs affordable to all families by offering an income based scholarship program.

McNeilly Center for Children is one of Middle Tennessee largest providers of quality child care for low-income families. We serve 650 children in eight locations in East Nashville , Inglewood , and Madison . This includes an infant/toddler program, two preschool, and 5 school age programs.

At McNeilly Center for Children we recognize that the family is the foundation of every child's life, therefore support services are provided to help parents strengthen their parenting skills and assist families solving problems. We create a family focused environment through such activities as: parent/teacher conferences twice a year, a parent bulletin board, monthly newsletters, a Thanksgiving luncheon for the parents, an annual Open House, an annual Parent Fair, sexual abuse training, annual parent surveys, holiday assistance program, and daily communication between teachers and parents during arrival and dismal time.
