Faith in Action Caregivers matches volunteers with individuals needing services that otherwise wouldn’t be met. The services provided by volunteer caregivers are often the simple tasks that make the difference in a person’s ability to remain independent. These tasks include escorted transportation to medical appointments, shopping, errands, respite for family caregivers, friendly visiting, telephone reassurance and a variety of other needs. All services remain available without charge to the residents of our communities regardless of income level. Faith in Action Caregivers is the only service provider that offers free transportation for medical appointments in Pittsburgh, Morgantown, Weirton and other regional medical centers.
