Description

Hand of Hope is a non profit thrift store offering needful clothing, household, and other items at extremely low costs to help families and individuals with little or no income. Hand of Hope provides free sack lunches certain days, and also maintains a food bank benevolent pantry shelf to gove non perishable food items to the needy. Hand of Hope has several one room "micro house" shelters to offer a place to sleep for homeless, transient, or otherwise displaced persons. Our 2 1/2 acre community garden provides fresh vegatables free of charge to anyone in our community who needs help stretching their food budget. Tomatoes, squash, okra, peas, butterbeans, peppers, carrots, radishes, potatoes, eggplant, onions, cucumbers were all planted and harvested from our garden this year. Our faith based organization offers pastoral care and counseling by ordained and seminary trained staff in group or one on one sessions. Daily prayer and teaching of God's word is offered.
