Mission Statement
Golden Retriever Rescue of Atlanta™ , the original Golden & Labrador Retriever Rescue in Atlanta, is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to saving Golden Retrievers that have been left in animal shelters.
Description
GRRA utilizes a an all-volunteer team for six key functions:
1. Intake - Monitor local animal shelters for abandoned Golden Retrievers and Golden Retriever mixes and evaluate the dogs for acceptance into the GRRA foster program.
2. Foster Homes - Attract and support foster parents who care for rescued dogs prior to their placement in a permanent home.
3. Placement - Attract individuals and families looking to adopt and match them with the right dog for their situation.
4. Communication and Marketing - Serve as the voice of the organization by writing newsletters and other messages to our membership base, plus do market research to look for other PR opportunities.
5. Fundraising - Identify events and other opportunities for GRRA to engage the public and solicit funds to support our organization.
6. Support functions such as Treasury and Recruitment
