Mission Statement

The purpose of RPAW is to rescue companion animals and find appropriate homes for them. We educate companion animal owners on responsible pet ownership, including, but not limited to training, spaying and neutering, animal behavior, and human animal bonding. We provide an alternative avenue for pet owners to find new homes for their companion animals. Since we value our foster animals very much and want to see them go to the very best homes possible, we need to meet you in person. We need to see how you and your potential forever companion interact with each other.

Description

Rescued Pets Are Wonderful is a group of dedicated volunteers who rescue unclaimed cats, kittens, puppies and dogs from area animal controls before they are eunthanized.

We do not have a faciltiy so all animals are fostered in private loving homes until they are ready for adoption. All pets must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccines prior to adoption.

RPAW is wonderful! Because it isn't a huge organization, it's easy to become a volunteer and help in whatever area that you're interested or talented. You can do as little or as much as your schedule allows. And, because you're up close and personal with the rescue animals, you know you're really making a difference. I've been fostering animals and volunteering at adoption days for a little over 6 months. I love the fact that I can choose which animals come into my home and am involved in the adoption process, making sure each of my fosters is placed into a great forever home. If you don't have the time/space to foster, there are lots of opportunities to help, such as transporting animals, helping "show" animals at adoption days and helping with marketing/fundraising. All are welcome! If you're looking for a great organization full of dedicated, inspiring volunteers, RPAW is the place for you!
