Our mission is to advance the economic growth and development of Detroit's oldest neighborhood, Corktown, through strategic planning, tactical urbanism, and community engagement.

Description

Our activities include community house parties (intimate meetings between neighbors) around topics such as youth engagement, safety, public space and parks, and large scale development; development of a neighborhood vision and place plan; activation of public parks and empty spaces through events and structures such as pop-up outdoor living rooms and community bbq; working with the City of Detroit and MDOT on redeveloping Michigan Ave into a complete street; and identifying gaps and opportunities for small business.
