Mission Statement
The Mission of Mid-Coast Family Services is to help individuals and families by eliminating family violence, homelessness, and substance abuse.
Description
Mid-Coast Family Services is the product of a September 1999 merger between two non-profit communities-based organizations: The Women's Crisis Center, originally founded in 1984, and the Mid-Coast Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, founded in 1991. Today in Victoria, Calhoun, DeWitt, Goliad, Gonzales, Lavaca, and Jackson Counties, we provide a wide array of services which include housing and a fresh start for chronically homeless men; substance abuse intervention and prevention services for youth and adults; on-campus counselors for at-risk students at schools in our service area; and intervention, legal advocacy, emergency shelter, and counseling for victims of family violence.
