Mission Statement

The Tom Tom Foundation exists to transform the city of Charlottesville. In the last five years, we have honored the history and foundation from which we are rooted while highlighting its extraordinary pockets of ingenuity. Tom Tom recognizes Charlottesville as a hub for creativity and entrepreneurship and our mission is threefold: to celebrate founding, to connect resources, and to leave legacies. We celebrate founding by inspiring the next generation of artists, entrepreneurs, and civic leaders. We connect resources by matching visionaries with the mentors and the means to create. We leave legacies by transforming the City year round through public art, new businesses, and new ideas.

Description

Tom Tom Foundation is 501c3 nonprofit organization that celebrates founding and connects the resources that leave lasting legacies of art and commerce in Charlottesville and beyond. It emerges as a week long event in the spring, Tom Tom Founders Festival, and a weekend long event in the fall, Tomtoberfest. Between Festivals, Tom Tom Foundation carries out its threefold mission through Tom Tom Founders Festival by hosting events that convience stakeholders, thought leaders and the public.
