Helping Oncology Patients Excel (HOPE, Inc.)

Description

HOPE's oncology social workers meet with newly diagnosed cancer patients, evaluating stress levels and needs with an intention of lessening the impact of their diagnosis on the patient's emotional health.

Emergency financial assistance is available for those having difficulty paying bills and/or purchasing prescriptions to support their treatments. The major areas of assistance are transportation, housing, and prescription costs.

HOPE's onsite RN manages a number of clinical trials, helping patients get through the paperwork required and following up with the medical personnel and the patient to guarantee a successful trial experience.

Our aim is to offer support to those who need it during this very stressful and challenging time of their lives. A cancer diagnosis is never easy, but we hope to help our patients stay as emotionally and financially stable as possible - thus giving them a better opportunity for healing and recovery.
