Mission Statement

Our goal is to showcase Hungarian culture, cuisine and wines for the enjoyment of the wider Bay Area public. We would like to offer every age group, kids, adults and seniors alike, a glimpse into the thousand-year history and traditions of Hungary as well as music, dance, arts, food, and hospitality. The Festival’s Organizing Committee has been working closely with all local Hungarian groups and associations. Our joint effort provides a program filled with unique, memorable, and fun experiences, a special day which we plan to repeat in the coming years. .

Description

The Hungarian Heritage Foundation of the San Francisco Bay Area is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Its mission is to promote, share and educate the public about Hungarian culture, language and art, by building on the cooperative and creative energy of the San Francisco Bay Area Hungarian American community. The annual Hungarian Heritage Festival is a volunteer-based event that provides financial support for the future Hungarian community center.

The festival also promotes local Hungarian-American artisans and offers other local Hungarian-American non-profit organizations a way to raise awareness and funds for their organizations.
