Mission Statement

Cinq-Mars Media was formed to develop and distribute the PhoneFlare safety app and charms. These are free of charge to students, campus safety departments, domestic abuse shelters, and sexual abuse prevention programs. The app texts location to family and friends when a person is in danger.

Description

We are seeking volunteers to help distribute PhoneFlare cards and charms, and to post information about PhoneFlare on social media. Our initial focus will be college campuses. We also want to introduce PhoneFlare at sexual abuse prevention programs and domestic abuse shelters. This revolutionary safety app for smartphones automatically texts friends and family when the user is in danger. The user simply plugs a pair of headphones or a plastic charm into their headphone port and proceeds to "arm" the device in PhoneFlare. If at any point the accessory is removed from the headphone port, the device goes into emergency mode. The app can also notify contacts if a person does not make a preset check-in time.
