Mission Statement

WAFTA seeks to develop and maintain freeride mountain bike trails throughout the Wasatch by working with land managers and other community groups to promote legitimate construction of sustainable trails and to gain awareness and support of freeriding.

Description

WAFTA is a group of like-minded mountain bikers looking to promote freeride and downhill trails in the Wasatch front.

Grow: Freeride mountain biking is the fastest growing area within the sport. We seek to provide legitimate places for citizens and tourists of the State of Utah to participate.

Challenge: Riders have varying degrees of skill and equipment. We seek to provide challenging trails that appeal to all mountain bikers.

Legitimize: We realize that if trails don't exist that challenge and interest riders, they will build ones that do - illegally. We seek to work with land managers to incorporate sustainable trails with technical trail features.

Give Back: We enjoy building and maintaining trails - and then riding them! We seek to provide areas for people to pay back to the sport they enjoy by volunteering their time and efforts to keep our trails in shape.
