Mission Statement

Nature Nook Mission Statement: To educate the general public of West Bloomfield and surrounding communities about the nature and wildlife that lives in the area. We believe education is the key to improve understanding and preservation of our special corner of the planet.

Description

The Nature Nook is West Bloomfield Parks and Recreation's one-room nature center located inside the recreation activities center. The Nature Nook is the home-base for a variety of nature outreach programs to local schools, scout troops and the general public. It is also home to 10 different "Animal Ambassadors" including turtles, frogs, snakes, a rabbit and an owl.
