Description

The Central American Refugee Center (CARECEN) is a non-profit providing immigration legal services, advocacy, and English classes for immig rants on Long Island. With offices in Hempstead and Brentwood, CARECEN has worked to empower the Long Island immigrant community for over thirty years.

Carecen NY is doing something very important for the immigrants in Suffolk county. It helps with learning English as well as with their immigration process . I love to volunteer here.

Many foreigners come to the US with hopes for a better future for them and their families. Learning the English language is an important tool to reach such goals. The cultural differences between their place of birth and that of the environment they are now living can be overwhelming. I would like to help them to adapt to living in America empowering with language skills that will help them in their daily tasks.
