Mission Statement

The Mission of the Friends of the Fruitville Library is to advocate the value of the Library to the community and elected officials, promote volunteering and provide financial support.

Description

The Friends of the Fruitville Library sponsors the following programs: Play Readers, Teen Art & Poetry Contests, Summer Reading Incentives, Volunteer Luncheon, John Storm the Reptile Man, Flakespeare Family, Art Shows, Scholastic Book Fair, Carrabas Luncheon Event, Fruitville Readers Book Club, Adult Financial Seminars, Family Story Time, Holiday Programs, Art Through the Ages, Concerts, Children's Programs, Book'n More Sale, and Quarterly Book Sales.

Sources of Financial Support:

  • In-library book store is largest money-maker.
  • Annual Friends dues and donations.
  • Engraved Reading Garden brick sales.
  • Special events - (see above)

The Friends of the Fruitville Library is an all volunteer organization.
