Vitalant - one of the nation's oldest and largest non-profit community blood service providers. United Blood Systems is now Vitalant. Vitalant ("Vye-TAL-ent") is one of the nation's oldest and largest nonprofit transfusion medicine organizations. There is a constant need for blood - in fact, nearly 5,000 donations are needed each day to meet the needs of people throughout the country. Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood. Every year, nearly 5 million Americans depend on blood transfusions. Donor Registration - We are looking for individuals interested in helping us on Thursdays, between 11:00 am-6:00 pm. Help with checking in donors, handing out refreshments, and post donation care.
