Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
To preserve and manage Travis County's diverse and unique native ecosystems and wildlife.
The Balcones Canyonlands Preserve (BCP) protects more than 30,000 acres in western Travis County, and is home to eight endangered species. The BCP is co-managed by Travis County, the City of Austin, and a number of public an private partners. This Next Door account is for the Travis County BCP, which is managed by the Natural Resources group in the Travis County department of Transportation & Natural Resources.
1/3 of the preserve is open to the public, and other areas are accessible through guided hikes and volunteer activities.
