INND is an organization that seeks new and innovative communication mechanisms to distribute information about chemicals including their health effects, their impacts on the environment, and proper use. By facilitating the dissemination of toxicology and chemical information to the public, INND strives to educate and empower citizens to make choices that create healthy, sustainable communities and environments.

Description

INND is a Seattle based organization founded in 1996 by Steven Gilbert, PhD. Dr. Gilbert has served as director since its inception. For the past 10 years INND has focused heavily on research and education about toxic chemicals. Of particular interest to INND is how to use existing scientific information to help the public and policy makers make well-informed decisions. INND operates a number of projects and websites to connect the public with experts in a variety of fields from toxicology, to medicine, to green gardening.
