Marshfield Area Purple Angels (MAPA) is a new non-profit organization raising awareness about Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. We also provide information and resources regarding home care and family care giving. We support people with dementia and their families through educational and community-based projects and programs.

We are a different kind of non-profit organization...
Marshfield Area Purple Angels, Inc. operates with an entirely volunteer staff and board of directors. We are also committed to providing all of our programs and services at no charge to anyone who may benefit from them. In other words, no one pays any money to participate in our programs and services, and no one in our organization is paid to provide these programs and services. We can honestly say that 100% of the donations we receive are used to provide programs and services benefiting the Marshfield area. This is a great organization providing much needed support programs and services to those living with Alzheimer's disease and dementia, and for their families and caregivers. The memory cafe events are a lot of fun and its great to be able to bring joy to people. The organization is 100% volunteer. There are no paid staff, and all of their programs and services are offered free of charge. Even though I helped found this organization, I am first and foremost a volunteer, and assisting families caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's disease and dementia is the most fulfilling volunteer experience I have ever had.
