Description

Premier Charter School was founded in 2000 under the name St. Louis Charter School until September 2013. As one of the first charter schools in St. Louis, we have been a leader for 14 years in providing the children in the City of St. Louis with an excellent character-based and academic education. Our distinction as a State and National School of Character was awarded by Character Education Partnership for our commitment to character education and the evidence that we have demonstrated that character education makes a dramatic positive difference in the lives of our students. It is our passion to help grow not just great students but great people who are inspired to give back to their community through their own personal gifts.

We currently serve 910 amazing students in grades K-8 and embrace the rich diversity that our families add to the experience of being a part of the PCS community. We believe children learn through a variety of educational "best practices." We incorporate traditional teaching methods with hands-on project based learning, technology, service learning, peer groups, specialized support instruction and enrichment to give our students a broad spectrum of learning opportunities.
