Mission Statement

TRM is a 99% volunteer run organziation committed to the innovative refurbishing ("rescuing") of used toys. Once restored, these toys are then donated back into the community to bring joy to under-privileged chldren and to senior residents of nursing and assisted living facilities. We are not affiliated with any other group or organization.

Description

TRM volunteers individually inspect toys for safety. If they pass this first inspection, they are then cleaned, disinfected, and repaired (if necessary) and restored, as much as possible, to their original, like-new state. We are unique in that we are a year-around operation. Besides the obvious focus at Christmas time, we also provide Easter baskets and birthday presents for needy children and seniors. Since we are an all-volunteer run organization, we are open at our Distribution Site by appointment only. Please call for more information.

This is a busy place especially around Christmas, and they are doing great work. We were able to volunteer to clean and sort toys in exchange for community services hours towards a high school letter and really enjoyed doing it.
