Mission Statement
The program serves young people ages 6 - 20 from a variety of backgrounds, ranging from inner city, suburban and country youth. All of whom are coached in independence, responsibility and socialization skills. Through wrestling we teach kids the art of recreation; how to let go, play and loose themselves in the splendor of living and competing.Head Coach Rpy Pittman established the program over 30 years ago and our core principles remain the same, assisting youth with wrestling with life.
Description
This program has many benefits for the body both physically and mentally, and spiritually. Physically, through calisthetics the youth learns the art of recreation, how to let go and play, working of muscles, flexibility, endurance, development of their body and self control. Mentally the youth learns to interact with their peers, self confidence, self discipline, respect, sportsmanship and self-esteem. Spiritually, the youth learns to love, give, and believe. While many kids today experiment with drugs, our young wrestlers become addicted to art, travel, knowledge, leadership and the glow of family. Kids learn how to speak in public and we empower them as leaders, not only in wrestling but in their schools, community, state, and nation.
