Mission Statement
Established in 1969 by the Jewish Federation Council of Greater Los Angeles as a non-sectarian, non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation to develop and manage affordable independent-living senior apartment units, Menorah Housing Foundation has developed and manages 1027 apartment units in fifteen buildings geographically dispersed throughout Los Angeles County.
Description
Menorah Housing enables very low-income seniors on fixed incomes to occupy safe, sanitary, accessible housing which they would otherwise be unable to afford in the local housing market. Offering more than 1,500 existing residents 62 years of age or older an attractive affordable apartment, MHF provides outreach and low-cost tenant services to the region's senior population, and creates a socially vibrant community for tenants.
