Uplifting Our Youth powered by HeartSmiles is a 501c3, nonprofit company servicing youth and young adults in Baltimore city. Our mission is to motive, inspire and empower youth to overcome challenges and adversity so that they may find success.
We offer free services including tutoring, mentoring, academic enrichment, entrepreneurial training and youth empowerment events. Our organization is passionately committed to building productive relationships with youth residing in low income communities and allowing them to see first-hand that your current circumstance does not have to define your future.
Our organization connects young people with successful entrepreneurs and business professionals who can not only relate to the challenges they are facing but who have successfully overcame them. In addition, through our connections, we are also able to offer internships and employment opportunities that promote professional growth and job training.
We tackle issues such as bullying, violence, and educational struggles head on by addressing the issue using real life examples and making honest recommendations to problem solve. We believe that if we can demonstrate and teach our youth to make better decisions, we will have given them a reason to not lose hope, even when the world around them is on fire.
