Mission Statement

We are seeking to provide an environent both supportive of and appealing to all youths, especially those experiencing difficulties that place them at risk. Our center will be a "safe-haven" where concerns can be addressed, skills enhaced and self-esteem nurtured. Youth will learn to make good decisions for themselves while enhancing their own lives and that of the community they live in.

Description

The teen center and diversion program will provide an environment both supportive and inviting to all youth, grades sixth to twelve. Our program and activities will assist in keeping adolescents free from the influences of substance abuse, or objectional behavior, by providing them a place to go. The youth will be able to help decide what activities will be offered them. Programs and activities dealing with conflict and violence; the importance of staying substance free, issues regarding alcohol use, and how our adolescents fit into the community, are examples of what this center will offer. Ultimately, the teen center and diversion program will be a "safe-haven" where skills are enhanced, and self-esteem nurtured.
